Je venais de finir d’alimenter le catalogue produit de la boutique www.traceur.com lorsqu’un oiseau s’est joint à la fête.
En effet, il est venu pointé le bout de son bec sur mon balcon. Le souci, c’est qu’il n’arrive pas à reprendre son envol.
Pensant qu’il était blessé, j’ai mis mon travail entre parenthèses pour l’emmener chez le vétérinaire.
Sur le trajet, il a tenté de se cacher dans la carrosserie de ma voiture. Je l’ai rattrapé par la queue et ses plumes sont restées dans mes mains.

D’après le vétérinaire, il est en bonne santé. Ce serait juste un bébé qui n’a pas eu le temps d’apprendre à voler. Et par ma faute, il n’a plus de gouvernail pour se diriger. :-/ Je vais me rattraper en prenant soin de lui ! J’ai acheté un peu de fibres de coco pour lui concocter un petit nid 4 étoiles + une petite seringue pour le nourrir.

Alors voilà, c’est mon nouveau compagnon de bureau ! Une petite Mésange charbonnière baptisée CuiCui par mon fils de 2 ans (en réalité, il appelle tous les oiseaux ainsi !!).

J’espère qu’il réussira à s’envoler d’ici quelques mois pour rejoindre son environnement naturel. Ça serait symbolique pour la marque TRΛCEUR® qui vient de naitre et qui ne demande qu’à s’envoler elle aussi.

A visitor from heaven

I had just finished to complete the catalog of the shop www.traceur.com when a bird joined the party.
Indeed, he showed his beak on my balcony. The problem is that he could’nt fly anymore.
I thought he was hurt, so I stopped my work to take him to the vet.
On the way, he tried to hide in the body of my car. I caught him by the tail and his feathers stayed in my hands.

According to the vet, he was in good health. This is just a baby who had no time to learn to fly. And because of me, it has no more rudder to find his way. :-/ I’ll make up for it by taking care of him! So, I bought some coconut fibres to built a nest and a small syringe to feed him.

Now, he is my new friend in my office ! A small great tit called “cuicui” by my 2 year old son (in fact, he calls all the birds like this!).

I hope he will be able to fly in a few months to reach its natural environment. This will be a wonderful symbol of the birth of the TRΛCEUR® brand who is waiting to fly too.

La boite à Trésor

C’est comme ça que je la surnomme. Une simple boîte en carton qui contient une multitudes d’archives : journaux, magazines, pellicules photos, badges, cadeaux de fin tournage… Cette boîte renferme les débuts de la médiatisation du Parkour, ainsi que de sa mondialisation ! Un mélange d’expériences et de rencontres aussi enrichissantes les unes que les autres.
J’y ai même conservé mon tout premier T-shirt Parkour au temps où j’appartenais au groupe « La Relève » (composé de Stéphane Vigroux, Yohan Vigroux, Sébatien Foucan, Kazuma, Jérôme Ben Aoues, Michaël). Et croyez-moi, il était formellement interdit de porter ce T-shirt en dehors de l’entraînement. Cela faisait partie de notre ligne de conduite.

Petit clin d’oeil au passage à mon ancien groupe car chacun évolue de son côté aujourd’hui. Mais je sais au fond qu’on a tous le même but : faire connaître l’Art du Parkour et partager cette passion à travers le monde.

Récemment, j’ai eu l’idée d’ouvrir cette boite et de la partager avec vous.

My treasure’s box

This is how i call it. A simple box in cardboard who contains a lot of archives : Newspapers, magazines, Films, Badges, Presents of end of shooting…

This box contains the beginning of the mediatization of Parkour, as well as his globalization! A mix of experiences and meetings so precious to me.

I have also kept my first T-shirt of Parkour when I belonged to the group of « La Relève » (formed by Stéphane Vigroux, Yohan Vigroux, Sébastien Foucan, Kazuma, Jérome Ben Aoues, Michaël). And believe me, it was strictly forbidden to wear this T-shirt outside training. It was one of the rules we had to respect.

Big up to my former group ! Today, everyone is evolving on his own way. But I know that inside of us we keep the same purpose : transmit the Art of Parkour and share this passion over the world.

Le Grand Saut

La société est créée !
C’est une SARL et elle s’appelle RD Concept. Et avec pour dénomination commerciale… vous l’aurez deviner : TRACEUR !

Et oui, on dirait la naissance d’un bébé. Aujourd’hui j’ai signé les statuts de la société comme lorsque que l’on signe une reconnaissance de paternité.
On doit nommer la société de la même façon qu’on doit donner un nom à son enfant.
Ensuite la SARL se voit attribuer un numéro SIRET, un peu comme vous et votre numéro de sécurité social.
Enfin voilà… Une nouvelle vie où il faut prendre ses responsabilitées à pleine couture !

J’aurai pu rester sous le statut Auto-Entrepreneur et tester le projet. Mais non ! J’ai préféré y aller à fond et faire le Grand Saut.
C’est comme dans le Parkour, il y a un moment où il faut arrêter les essais, arrêter de réfléchir et sauter. Et quand on s’élance, on ne peut plus faire marche arrière.

À partir d’aujourd’hui ce n’est plus un projet mais une marque qui ne demande qu’à grandir.

Quant à cette nouvelle société, elle doit rester en bonne santé et durer tout comme le dit la devise du Parkour : « ÊTRE ET DURER ».

The big jump

The company is created ! It’s a limited company called RD Concept. Its commercial name is… TRACEUR of course !

It seems like the birth of a baby. Today, I signed the statutes like one signs a recognition of paternity. We have to give a name to the company like we give a name to a baby.

Then, the company gets a number like we get a social insurance number. In short, it’s a new life full of responsibilities.

Before creating the company, I could test the project. But I preferred the big jump. Like in Parkour, sometimes we have to stop the tries, stop thinking and jump ! And when we jump, there’s no turning back.

Today, Traceur is no longer a project but a brand which longs for growing.

As for this new company, it has to stay in good healh and lasts, like says the slogan of Parkour : « To Be and to Last ».

Après 7 semaines d’attente !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Franchement, je n’y croyais plus mais ils sont enfin là ! Les 5 premiers prototypes des T-shirts TRΛCEUR®. Plus exactement 7, si on compte les 2 dérivés de couleurs du modèle Basic.

En réalité, j’ai dû aller les arracher de la plateforme de transport car les livreurs n’avaient pas la bonne adresse de livraison.

Cela fait plusieurs mois que j’attends ce moment, pour ne pas dire années ! Pourtant au bout de 2 minutes, je n’ai pas pu m’empêcher d’offrir un exemplaire à un pratiquant de mon entourage. Le don, c’est une philosophie de vie. Je pars du principe que rien ne nous appartient : « Donnez et vous recevrez ». Et puis je suis fier de lui : il s’entraine bien, progresse de jour en jour. Je suis content de lui apporter un peu de mon expérience.

Pour en revenir aux prototypes, je peux vous dire qu’ils sont parfaitement conformes à mes esquisses, donc je valide !
Demain, j’appelle les usines et je lance la production de ces modèles.
L’ouverture de l’e-boutique est prévue pour cet été sous la forme d’une pré-vente !
En attendant, je garde les designs « secret défense »

Je peux donc commencer à préparer le premier shooting photo !
Le Canon 5D Mark II avec optique série L est déjà chaud bouillant !!! puisqu’il a eu le temps de s’échauffer avec la préparation d’une belle affiche de communication TRΛCEUR®. J’en parlerai plus longuement dans un prochain post.

After 7 weeks of waiting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest, I was fed up of hoping but finally here the first 5 prototypes of TRΛCEUR®’s T-shirts. More exactly 7, if we count the 2 colors of the Basic model.

Actually, I had to go and get them to the shipping center because they didn’t have the right address of shipping. Anyway…

I’ve been waiting this moment for several months (years I should say). But in 2 minutes, I decided to offer one of the prototypes to a friend of mine who practices Parkour. Donation, is’t a way of life. I think that nothing belongs to us : « Give and you’ll receive ». And I’m proud of this friend. He practices Parkour everyday, he’s making a lot of progress. I’m really happy to share a bit of my experience with him.

Let’s go back to the prototypes. I confess : there are really like I’ve imagined and drawn them. So it’s ok for me !

Tomorrow I call the manufacturers to start the production of these models.

The shop on-line will open this summer by a pre-selling. But for the meanwhile, I keep the designs top secret

Now I can focus on the first shooting.

The Canon 5D Mark II is already hot. It warmed up by making a TRΛCEUR®’s poster. But I’ll talk about it on a next post.
